THE ARTIST
Born in Cuernavaca, Morelos - México in 1971. Tona as his friends and family call him, is an architect by education, landscape architect by profession and artist by hearth.
Tona's artistic career started when he was a little kid growing in his beloved México. Influenced by a marvelous cultural atmosphere at his hometown, he spent countless hours drawing and dreaming about being a painter.
After graduating from the school of architecture in Cuernavaca, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he now lives and creates his work.
'For a self-taught artist practice means everything. It is through restless practice and numerous experimentation, that one can acquire certain expertise, yet there is talent'.
